👨‍💻 From the Ranch to the Cloud: How AI Agents Are Helping Me Build My Dreams

Growing up in a village in the south of Iran, my world revolved around the ranch and farm, the heart of our family business. The rhythm of the seasons, the feel of the soil—that was my early education. When I moved to the city for university, I naturally gravitated toward the practical and essential: Water Resources and Agricultural Engineering.

But the early 2000s brought a compelling new rhythm into my life: the hum of a computer and the logic of code.

The Unexpected Shift to Code

The world of programming and software development fascinated me. I devoured every book and resource I could find. Though my formal studies were in engineering, I soon found a way to bridge these two worlds, using code to solve complex engineering problems. This fusion only deepened my passion.

Upon completing my studies, a two-year period of conscription followed. When I returned, it was time to put on my boots and rejoin the family business. It was fulfilling work, but I carried a silent yearning: to fully pursue software development. My biggest obstacle? Connectivity. Our village lacked high-speed internet, making a remote career in tech seem impossible. I was seriously considering leaving, ready to chase my passion in the city.

Then, everything changed. A small company brought high-speed internet to our village.

The Seed of a Software Company

With a connection to the world, I chose to stay. I continued to work on the farm, but I also began applying my newfound programming and software skills directly to the family business, making things more efficient. Yet, I had projects—big ideas—that needed more than just a few hours a night.

I dreamed of starting my own software company, but the challenges were immense: * High Workload: The farm demanded most of my time. * Resources: I needed a dedicated team and substantial resources. * Affordability: I simply couldn't afford to hire a team on my own.

For years, that dream sat on the shelf, a well-planned architecture without a crew to build it.

My AI "Dream Team": Building the Future

Today, that situation has completely changed. I still work on the farm, but I'm no longer alone in my software ambition. I've finally assembled my team.

Except, my team isn't human. It's a team of AI Agents.

This journey began subtly with tools like GitHub Copilot, which felt like having an incredibly smart pair of hands next to me, offering perfect suggestions. It progressed with the use of environments like Cursor IDE, turning abstract thoughts into functional code skeletons.

And just a few days ago, Google released Antigravity (a conceptual term for a powerful new generation of AI development assistants). This latest wave of tools has been the ultimate game-changer.

I now have a tireless, brilliant, and affordable development team working beside me—an AI-powered development agency in my little village. The ideas I shelved years ago are now being built. The high workload is managed, the resources are available, and the costs are minimal.

I'm working harder than ever, but I'm no longer doing it alone. The dreams I cultivated on the ranch are now taking shape in the cloud.

What projects are you working on that AI is helping you realize? I'd love to hear about your experience!
